SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA – on March 8, 2022 from 5:10 – 6:00 pm, the Cal Poly International Center will host a virtual presentation with guest speaker and Cal Poly Professor Emerita, Maliha Zulfacar, Ph.D. and moderator Cal Poly Professor, Dawn Neill, Ph.D., titled: ‘Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan: A dialogue for engagement and understanding of women’s lives (at risk).’

The campus community can view the documentary, ‘Kabul Transit’ , co-produced and co-directed by Dr. Zulfacar prior to the talk.

The panel is co-sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, Interdisciplinary Studies Liberal Arts, Social Sciences, Women’s, Gender & Queer Studies, and Men and Masculinities Program. The panel will cover gender-related issues from cross-cultural and international perspectives.
