The Sustainable Agriculture and Forest Conservation in Costa Rica program is a five-week summer course that will use the Costa Rican coffee and forest conservation sectors as case studies for exploring issues of sustainability and culture.  By the end of the course, students will be able to evaluate tropical agricultural and forest conservation systems and practices for their sustainability and to describe how globalization affects agriculture, ecosystems, culture, and rural communities.
