This program is for serious students who want adventure. Few places in the world capture the imagination like Machu Picchu and Peru. With its Inca ruins, colonial history, indigenous culture, and amazing scenery, Peru is a must-see destination for the adventurous traveler. Cal Poly in Peru is an eight-week Spring quarter program based in Cuzco. Students earn 16 units of academic credit (8 units of Spanish and 8 units of general education) with an emphasis on Spanish immersion, Latin American culture, sustainability, tourism, and international development. The program includes volunteering and living with Peruvian homestay families. Multi-day excursions to Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, and the Peruvian Amazon make this program a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
