The Cal Poly International Center stands with the people of Ukraine amid this unprovoked and unconscionable invasion, which is an attack not only on Ukraine but also on our collective commitment to peace, freedom and human rights for independent nations and people everywhere. We know that many in our campus community—students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters—are impacted by the events unfolding and many have family directly affected.
The International Center remains as a resource for all international students and scholars affected and supports the campus at large.

Ongoing support for Students
- Cal Poly Counseling Services provides clinical, educational, and consultative services for students. Call 805-756-2511.
- The Cal Poly Cares program provides one-time emergency grants of up to $2,000 to students who need financial and housing assistance.
- The Cal Poly Food Pantry is a resource for students struggling with food insecurity.

Ongoing support for Faculty and Staff
- The CTLT website has excellent resources on acknowledging distressing events.
- The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides confidential counseling services to all Cal Poly employees and their families. For information, call their 24-hour support hotline at 800-367-7474 or visit Human Resources.
With regard to study abroad, the Cal Poly International Center is carefully monitoring the situation. Student health and safety is our highest priority. We are asking students not to travel to Ukraine and Russia and to avoid travel to the countries that border Russia and Ukraine. The Cal Poly International Center will provide updates to outbound students as well as to students currently in Europe. We ask study abroad students to follow any updates and instructions they receive from their host university/onsite international office and to review U.S. State of Department information about their destination or host country.
