SUMMARY:Cal Poly in Spain (Summer 2025) Info Session
DESCRIPTION:Cal Poly Global Programs offer Cal Poly courses taught by Cal Poly faculty.  \nWith its rich history\, extraordinary architecture\, and diverse\, multicultural population\, Spain has much to offer students. Spanish is one of the most important languages in the world\, and Spain is an optimal place to learn and improve Spanish language skills. \nThe Cal Poly in Spain Summer program is a 4-week intensive language and cultural immersion program. Students take one Cal Poly general education course and one Spanish class\, taught by a local Spanish language instructor for a total of 8 units. Students will study at the University of Valladolid (UVA)\, the second oldest university in Spain.   \nDuring the program\, students will participate in a variety of excursions to explore other areas of the country.  Students will begin their journey with a 3-day tour of Madrid and significant surrounding areas before traveling to Valladolid\, the main study site. Throughout the quarter\, students will travel with the Spanish language program offered through the University on a full day tour to a other cities of importance\, such as Salamanca and Segovia.  \nFor more information and to access the application\, please visit the program website.

DESCRIPTION:Come learn about this NEW summer program offering students an 8-unit\, 6-week immersive experience in two of the world’s most exciting cities: Seoul and Tokyo. Through experiential\, hands-on learning\, including day trips and overnight excursions\, as well as classroom learning\, this program will build on students’ interests and dig into history\, culture\, and graphic novels. Students will learn firsthand where\, how and why phenomena such as anime and manga emerged. The program offers students the chance for in-depth learning\, meaningful cross-cultural exchange and adventure. Join us and immerse yourself in Seoul and Tokyo!
